In this blog post, I invite you to discover the film “La terre des femmes”, which highlights the essential role played by Cameroonian women in preserving the environment and combating climate change. The film is part of the magazine-documentary “À la vie, à la terre”, broadcast on TV5MONDE and directed by climate and weather journalist Chloé Nabédian. So this morning I’d like you to send me a “like” for all the central african and cameroonian women who fight every day to change things, with a smile every time, despite the difficult situation they find themselves in. Central Africa stands out for the strong women who are actively involved in the region’s peace and development processes. This is particularly the case in Cameroon, where women leaders are mobilising to promote dialogue and reconciliation against a backdrop of socio-political crisis. The film takes us on a journey to meet these courageous and inspiring women who work the land, protect biodiversity, pass on their know-how and assert their rights. They show us how they contribute to food security, economic empowerment and community resilience in the face of environmental challenges. “La terre des femmes” is a film that pays tribute to the strength and creativity of the women of Central Africa, who are key players in sustainable development and peace. I invite you to watch it on TV5MONDE Plus, TV5MONDE’s free digital platform, by clicking on this link:
